Thanks Chandresh. I am not very good at sketching or drawing as well. Currently I use the graph technique to sketch my paintings. but it gets better everyday! I started out with drawing for dummies book and then experimented with Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain - by Betty Edwards from the local library. Art is mostly practice. For painting - oils specially, I got started by taking 6 week summer workshop in community college. It helped me to know where to buy materials, how to wash brush and very basics. Once I knew the tools it just a matter of following it up on daily basis as far as possible. For me there were lot of short breaks but I kept my motivation by maintaining my blog, now I can see my progress from the day I started.
